Jen Ryan Furlong
Oil, Pastel
Oak Park, IL

Jen Ryan Furlong is a Chicago based painter exploring the vulnerability and anxiety through depictions of the exaggerated female form.

The work is intended to be slightly uncomfortable and mildly unnerving. Inspiration is drawn from dark, painful, and personal aspects of life. Art is used to express the guttural emotions that words cannot quite grasp.

Upcoming projects for summer 2015 include two murals for the Village of Oak Park and large scale paintings at Galleryna19.
